Agnes Banks was formed in 1970/71, its name being taken from the suburb, just south of Richmond NSW.
The group was a popular ‘covers’ band with the ability to keep audiences up on the dancefloor and as such, regularly appeared at all of Sydney’s (and surrounds) major music venues, as well as on the High School and Suburban dance circuit.
They also wrote and recorded a lot of their own material, but only released one single in1975, on the Marvel label.
