The Orphans were a band from Melbourne , from late 1980 till July 1983.
Usually played around Melbourne 4/6 nights per week, and regularly toured interstate.
They recorded 2 singles "HOP SKIP JUMP" and "BIG RONNIE" on Rough Diamond Records with DAVID BRIGGS (ex LRB)producing.
"Hop, Skip, Jump" charted in Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide.
Those songs also appeared on some compilation Albums "THE HEAT'S ON" and "HITWAVE 82" and another song "SEE YOU" appeared on a European Album called "AUSTRALIA POWER POP " total sales for all that were over 200,000 copies.
